Lydia graduated from The Governor's Academy and competed in track and field. She captained the team and won the Coaches Award.

AT COLBY

Lydia has not decided on a major at Colby.

2017 outdoor season highlights: Lydia ran in the 3,000 steeplechase at the Tufts Sunshine Classic.

2017 indoor season highlights: Lydia helped the 3,200 relay team win a Maine State title while running the third leg. She also was part of the 3,200 relay that finished a strong sixth at the Open New England Championships. In individual competition, Fanning was fourth in the mile at a tri-meet with MIT and Bates. Lydia took sixth in the mile at the state meet and eighth in the 800 meters at the New England Division III event. She also competed in the 400 meters at the Wheaton Invitational and the 1,000 at the Boston University Valentines meet.

2016 cross country season highlights: Fanning finished ninth at the Bates first-year/junior race and 43rd at the Maine State Championships.
