BEFORE COLBY
Lydia graduated from Mercer Island High School, where she played tennis. She was a National Honor Society member, and a three-time state doubles champion with her twin sister, Gabriela, who also plays at Colby.
AT COLBY
Lydia is a Psychology major (Neuroscience concentration). She is a member of the Lives of Purpose group, a Colby Cares About Kids mentor, and a Forte Foundation Campus representative. Over the summer, she worked as a ventures intern at Delos Living, LLC.
2017-2018 season highlights: Lydia won four matches while playing first singles for the third straight year. She also won five doubles matches while teaming with sister, Gabriela, and Jessica Tsai. Lydia was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2016-2017 season highlights: Lydia went 9-9 at first singles and two matches at second singles. She closed out her doubles season with eight victories. Lydia was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2015-2016 season highlights: Lydia finished her first season with seven victories from the first singles position. In doubles, Lydia competed in every match from the first position with her sister, Gabriela, and ended the season with 11 victories. She and her sister had three wins at the NEWITT Tournament.
