Colby College

 Why I chose Colby: Besides the incredible academics and athletics, Colby's location in the beautiful state of Maine really drew me in. I've loved getting to explore the places around Waterville whether that means skiing at Sugarloaf or hiking tumbledown mountain as a team!

Major: Psychology and Education

What do you think of the new Athletic Center?: It's a surreal experience to physically be in the new athletic center after slowly watching it get built for 2 full years. It still doesn't feel real to be walking around in it and getting to use all the new facilities.

Favorite Place on Campus: Dana

Most Memorable Team Experience: My sophomore year, the Men's and Women's team decided to play in the Snowflake tournament in Portland, ME during Jan Plan. We all stayed at a house together and played the tournament over the weekend. Colby ended up winning 3 out of the 4 draws that weekend. 

Internship/Work Experience: Over the past 3 summers, I was a camp counselor at Kieve-Wavus Education in Damariscotta, ME. 

Plans After Colby: Ideally, I would love to travel to a Spanish speaking country and teach English for a year before starting my career or going to graduate school.

2019-2020 season highlights: Katharine was named to the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.  She recorded 3 doubles wins during the season.

2018-2019 season highlights: Katharine was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete. She recorded 10 singles wins and 11 doubles wins during the season.
