BEFORE COLBY
Gabriela graduated from Mercer Island High School, where she played tennis. Her team was a 3A state championship squad for all four years, and she won the 3A doubles state championship winner three times with her sister, Lydia. Gabriela was also a member of the National Honor Society. She has worked managing the gallery of artist Barbara Ernst Preay in Port Clyde, Maine.
AT COLBY
Gabriela is majoring in Government and Psychology. She is a DavisConnects career fellow, a member of the museum's student advisory board, a Colby Outdoor Orientation Trip leader, and a mentor with Colby Cares About Kids. Over the summer, she worked as a site merchandising intern at Wayfair.
2017-2018 season highlights: Gabriela won six singles matches and three doubles matches in her junior season. She mainly played second singles, but had two matches at one and three at the third spot. Venditti was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2016-2017 season highlights: Gabriela had a 3-0 record at first singles and won nine singles matches during the season. She also had eight doubles victories and was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2015-2016 season highlights: Gabriela finished her first season with an 8-5 record from the second position. In doubles, Gabriela competed in every match from the first position with her sister, Lydia, and ended the season with 11 victories. She and her sister had three doubles wins at the NEWITT Tournament.
