Biography
BEFORE COLBY
Olivia graduated from Kennebunk High School, where she was a captain for her swim team. She set the school record in freestyle relays and was an all-conference and all-academic swimmer.
AT COLBY
Olivia has a double major in English: Creative Writing and French Studies and has an Education minor. She is a CCAK mentor as well as a member of both the Hardy Girls and the Student Advisory Board.
2017-2018 season highlights: Olivia competed in four relays at the NESCAC championship meet, finishing ninth in the 400 freestyle, 10th in the 800 freestyle, 10th in the 200 freestyle, and 11th in the 400 medley. She also competed in the 50 freestyle at the league meet. Olivia won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle in a dual meet with Bates. She also had wins in the 50 freestyle, 400 medley relay, and 400 freestyle relay against Norwich and Maine Maritime. She also placed first with her teammates in the 200 freestyle relay against Middlebury. Hammer-Grant, who made the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team, had seconds against Bowdoin and Wesleyan/Trinity in 50 freestyle races.
2016-2017 season highlights: Hammer-Grant had multiple wins as a member of the 400 freestyle relay team. She was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.
