Why I chose Colby:  Colby is steeped in opportunity. There is no place where you can find as strong of a balance between academic rigor, community engagement, athletic intensity, and quality of character in the students as here. The people here I noticed cared about one anther, and that is what truly drew me to want to be here.

Major:  Educational Studies and Sociology

Favorite Place on Campus:  The new Gordon Center

Most Memorable Team Experience:  Beating Hamilton Freshman year in a 5-4 match coming down to the 5th!

Favorite Professional Athlete:  Simone Biles and Olivia Fiechter

Favorite Pre-Game Meal/Snack:  Apple and Peanut Butter

Game Day Superstition:  Meditation is a must.

Internship/Work Experience:  I've been lucky to work in multiple different sections of psychology and education. I spent my freshman summer at a research lab in Providence, Rhode Island, and the sophomore summer I worked for an educational consulting company. I feel extremely lucky to have the support at Colby through Davis Connects to be able follow my passions. Thanks to the support of Davis Connects, I will be doing a research project abroad in the summer after my junior year in Tanzania where I'll be living in a preschool dorm for orphan kids. I hope I can bring my findings back to Colby's Educational department and the real world after Colby.

Plans After Colby:  I am interested in the psychological development of children in schools. I am open minded about my options but what I would really like to do would be in the realm of research and psychological development in adolescents. I am optimistic that Colby can support me and I am thrilled and grateful to have the resources and support around me to do so.
