Why I chose Colby: I chose Colby because of the rigorous STEM programs they offer, the balance of academics and athletics, and the close community displayed during my visits.

Major: Biology with a Concentration in Neuroscience and a Minor in Environmental Studies

What do you think about the new Athletic Center: The new athletic center is so amazing! We are so lucky to have such a great space on campus. One of my favorite aspects is the Level 1 weight room that provides so much equipment for training as well as our dedicated strength coaches. The Athletic Training room and all of the resources it has are also wonderful, with the best resources being our athletic trainers, including the women's soccer team's trainer Tim Weston. 

Favorite Place on Campus: The soccer field or Foss Dining Hall

Most Memorable Team Experience: My most memorable team experience was this past spring when we ended our "non-traditional spring season" with a full-field scrimmage against ourselves. Our team had been working so hard throughout the off-season and to see the major improvements that we had made together be so prominent in that scrimmage was awesome. Playing with this team that is so hardworking, gritty, and also just a ton of fun is something that I will always remember.

Internship/Work Experience: This summer, I interned at the Edward Kravitz Neurobiology Lab at Harvard Medical School. On campus, I work in Professor Tariq Ahmad's neurobiology lab, as a Sexual Violence Peer Educator, and as a HAARC front desk monitor.

Plans After Colby: My plans immediately after Colby are ever-evolving, but currently, I would like to continue with my education, while also utilizing my last year of eligibility. Eventually, I would like to work in the medical field and be an advocate for mental health.
