BEFORE COLBY

Aliza graduated from Hopkins School, where she played four years of varsity soccer and lacrosse. She was a three-time all-WNEPPSA soccer selection and an all-state and Boston Globe all-New England selection her senior year. She played club soccer for CFC United's ECNL team. 

AT COLBY

Aliza is majoring in American Studies. She is a Hardy Girls Healthy Women muse. Her junior spring, she studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Aliza has had summer internships with Truth in Advertising and Grameen America.

2016 season highlights: Van Leesten played in all 15 games for the Mules, including 12 starts. She finished the season with four goals and three assists to lead the Mules in scoring. Aliza was the NESCAC Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 9.

2015 season highlights: Van Leesten led the Mules in scoring with six goals while making six starts and playing in 14 games. She also had one assist and 18 shots.

2014 season highlights: Van Leesten played in all 16 games for the Mules in 2014 and made four starts. Aliza finished the season with two goals, one assist, and 22 shots.

2013 season highlights: Aliza started 12 of the 13 games in which she played and was part of the defense.
