Internship/Work Experience: Lyla was a Congressional Intern for Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer, U.S. Capitol. She has also interned at Artemis Real Estate Partners and Bath Iron Works. Intern at Bath Iron Works. She is a member of the Colby Finance Committee, Mayflower Hill Capital and the Colby Student Investment Association.
Favorite Place on Campus: "Mary Low Coffee House."
Most Memorable Team Experience: "Any time we play "Runaround Sue" on Bill Alfond Field."
2020 Season Highlights: Lyla made appearances in three of the six games of the shortened 2020 season. The junior scored all of her four points (2g, 2a) as she tied her career-high on March 8th vs. Plymouth State.
2019 Season Highlights: Jones recorded seven points (5g, 2a) over eight games played in 2019. She scored a season-high three goals on April 10th at Bowdoin, and in total added three ground balls and a caused turnover to her stat sheet. Lyla recorded a 45.5 shot percentage for the season. At the end of the season, she was named to the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2018 Season Highlights: Jones played in six games for the Mules in her first season, finishing with five goals, four assists, nine ground balls, and three caused turnovers.
