BEFORE COLBY
Kate graduated from Sacred Heart Greewnich where she captained the field hockey and lacrosse teams. She was a lacrosse Academic All-American, as well as FAA all-league in both sports.
AT COLBY
Kate is majoring in Economics-Mathematics. She is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor, a Student Government Association Senior Class Council member, and a NCAA CHOICES Grant Steering Committee member. Kate also plays field hockey for the Mules.
2018 lacrosse season highlights: Burkett played in 14 games for the Mules, scoring three goals and tallying an assist. She also had 11 ground balls, nine caused turnovers, and a draw control. Kate was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2017 field hockey season highlights: Burkett started in all 15 games for the Mules, finishing with one assist.
