BEFORE COLBY
Gemma graduated from Kearsarge Regional High School, where she played soccer and lacrosse. She was a first team All-American, an Academic All-American, all-state selection, and the New Hampshire Division III Player of the Year. Gemma was also a captain for both sports. She interned at Deloitte in New York City.
AT COLBY
Gemma is majoring in Global Studies and has a minor in Managerial Economics. She is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor, a member of the Colby Leadership Academy, and SAAC. Gemma is on the Student Government Association publicity committee.
2017 season highlights: After being a key midfielder off the bench in her first three years, Gemma capped off her career with a big senior season. She started all 19 games and finished third on the Mules in caused turnovers (20). She also had 14 goals, four assists, 25 ground balls, and 17 draw controls. Bready had two goals, five draw controls, two caused turnovers, and two ground balls for Colby in a 13-9 NESCAC championship title win against Trinity. Gemma was on the NESCAC Spring All-Sportsmanship Team.
2016 season highlights: Bready played in 14 games for the Mules and started in all of them. She finished the season with seven goals, two assists, 14 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers.
2015 season highlights: Bready appeared in 13 games for the Mules and finished the season with three goals. Gemma also compiled six ground balls and four draw controls.
2014 season highlights: Bready appeared in 13 games for the Mules in 2014 and finished with two goals. Gemma also compiled three ground balls, 18 draw controls, and three caused turnovers.
