Biography
Major: Government; minor in Science, Technology, and Society
Why I chose Colby: "I knew I wanted to go to a small liberal arts college with a challenging academic program and opportunities to be involved in things outside of school and sports. The community I found on campus when I visited was something special and I knew I wanted to be a part of it."
Internship/Work Experience: Shaw was a Project Playground intern in Cape Town, South Africa in July 2019. in the summer of 2020 Shaw interned at Boothby Silver, LLC, a small law firm in Turner, ME.
Favorite Place on Campus: Foss Dining Hall
Most Memorable Team Experience: "Giving our class of 2020 seniors an impromptu on ice graduation the weekend we had to leave campus due to COVID-19. It was so special to come together in that way and its a moment I'll never forget."
Plans After Colby: "I hope to work in the public policy field next year and perhaps attend law school somewhere down the line."
What do you think of the new Athletic Center?: "The new athletics center is beautiful! I've been looking forward to its completion my entire Colby career and its even better than I had imagined it would be."
2019-20 season highlights: Shaw played in 3 games this season, finishing with a 2-1-0 record. She made 64 total saves and posted a .928 save percentage and a 1.64 goals against average.
2018-19 season highlights: Shaw saw limited time in her sophomore season, recording 34 saves with a .944 save percentage.
