Biography

Why I chose Colby: "I liked the balance Colby offered me between academics and athletics."

Summer Internship/Work Experience: During the summer after her first year, Sonia interned at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. The next summer, she was an intern at Supportive Living, Inc., where she worked with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury. This past summer, she was an INBRE Fellow conducting biomedical research at Colby, where she studied the effects of caffeine on ethanol sedation in fruit flies and used proteomics to study mutations. 

Major: Biology with a Concentration in Neuroscience and Psychology

Plans after Colby: Sonia would like to pursue neuropsychology in the future.

2018 season highlights: Sonia was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team and the NESCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team.

2017 season highlights: Sonia was 13th overall and third among Colby finishers at the Keene State Invitational. She took 38th at the Bowdoin Invitational and was eighth in the sophomore/senior race against Bates. Sonia was 108th at the NESCAC meet and 116th at the Rowan meet. Sonia was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

2016 season highlights: Tremblay finished sixth at the Bates first-year/junior race, 31st at Maine State Championships, and 93rd at the NESCAC Championships. She also placed 111th in the New England Division III Championships.
