Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Emily graduated from Longmeadow High School, where she was a member of the cross country and track teams. She was a First Honors Student, and the recipient of the President's Award for Academic Excellence, the Latin Scholarship, and the Excellence in English Award.

AT COLBY 

Emily is majoring in Psychology and Biology with a Neuroscience concentration, with a minor in German. She is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor.

2017 season highlights: Emily was fourth in the 3-kilometer event at the Colby Invitational and 13th in the first-year/junior race against Bates. She also placed 64th at the Maine State Championships and competed at the Bowdoin meet. Emily was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

2016 season highlights: Emily was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

 

2015 season highlights: Valencia took 16th in the Bates first-year/sophomore race, 35th at the Bowdoin Invitational, and 51st at the Maine State Championships.
