Biography
BEFORE COLBY
Sarah graduated from Lake Region High School, where she was a member of the soccer, basketball, and track teams. She was a 2014 State champion and a three-time Western Maine champion. She also served as president of her class. Her father, Matt '90, was a three-time All-American and is the men's basketball program's all-time leading scorer.
AT COLBY
Sarah is majoring in Global Studies with a minor in Anthropology. She is a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and the events coordinator on the executive board. She also works as an English tutor at Waterville Junior High School.
2018-19 season highlights: Hancock earned NESCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Team honors in her final season with the Mules. She started all 24 games, averaging 28.3 minutes played. Sarah finished fifth in the conference in assists per game (3.3). She also led the team in three-point percentage (39.4) and averaged 3.4 points and three rebounds per contest. Hancock finishes her career with 190 points, 154 assists, and 149 total rebounds.
2017-18 season highlights: Hancock played in all 24 games for the Mules. She averaged 2.4 points per game and had 20 steals. She also had 2.3 assists per game and placed third on the team with 54 assists overall.
2016-17 season highlights: Hancock played in all 25 games for the Mules this season. She led the team in conference 3-point shooting percentage with multiple attempts (42.9) and also had 13 steals. She averaged 2.8 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest.
2015-16 season highlights: Hancock played in 14 games as a first-year and finished the season with 1.6 points per contest.
