Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Michael graduated from Canterbury School, where he played football, hockey, and baseball. He was a member of the honors society and a hockey captain. Michael was named to the all-conference second team for football and baseball. Over the summer of 2016, he interned in the Colby Admissions office.

AT COLBY: Michael is majoring in Economics with a Financial Markets concentration. He is an admissions visit coordinator and a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

2017-2018 season highlights: Michael earned All-NESCAC Second Team honors after a terrific senior season on defense. He was first among defensemen on Colby in scoring with three goals and 17 assists for 20 points. He had one game-winning goal and one on the power play. Decker finished his career with six goals and 34 assists for 40 career points. Michael earned the team's Mal Wilson Humanitarian Award for community service work and the Defensive Player of the Year honor.

2016-17 season highlights: Decker played in 16 games as a junior, finishing the year with two assists on defense. He has 17 career assists from the blue line. 

2015-16 season highlights: Decker played in 24 games as a sophomore on defense, finishing the year with two goals and six assists.

2014-15 season highlights: Decker appeared in 18 games in his first season as a defenseman for the Mules. Michael finished the season with one goal and six assists for a total of seven points.
