Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Amanda played field hockey, basketball, and softball at Immaculate High School. She earned high honors all four years, was a leadership award winner, a presidential service award winner, and was a field hockey all-state athletic scholar.

AT COLBY 

Amanda is majoring in Chemistry-Biochemistry and minoring in Mathematics. She is a Maine Concussion Management Institute research assistant at Colby, a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and a Colby Cares About Kids mentor. She also works in the Kevin P. Rice Laboratory. In the summer of 2016, Amanda worked as a research assistant at the National Institute of Health.

2016-17 season highlights: Loya played in six games for the Mules this season. She was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2015-16 season highlights: Loya played in nine games for the Mules as a sophomore. Amanda was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2014-15 season highlights: Loya appeared in seven games for the Mules in the 2014-15 season, averaging 4.6 minutes per game.
