Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Landon graduated from Vashon High School, where he was a member of the cross country and track and field teams. He received the Pieces of Eight Award, given to the student-athlete with the highest grade point average.

AT COLBY

Landon majors in Government at Colby and is co-president of the Colby Ballroom Dance. He was inducted into the Zeta Kappa chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society, in 2016.

2017 outdoor season highlights: Landon finished first among Division III athletes and sixth overall with a school-record time of 14.72 in the 110 hurdles at the Open New England Championships. He earned All-NESCAC honors for helping the 400 relay team to a victory in another school-record time of 41.81. He also was All-NESCAC for placing third in the 110 hurdles. Summers, the third leg in the 400 relay, helped the Mules tie their season record (41.81) and place third at the New England Division III meet. Landon also was fourth in the 110 hurdles at the New England meet and third at the Maine State meet. Summers was part of the winning 400 relay team at the Maine State meet and an event at Tufts. Landon, who was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team, was among the top 10 senior athletes in cumulative grade point average.

2017 indoor season highlights: Summers competed in the 200 meters, 60 hurdles, and 1,600 relay. He placed second at the Maine State Championships in the 60 dash and broke his own school record. He was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2016 outdoor season highlights: Landon earned All-NESCAC Conference honors by helping the 400 relay team place second at the league meet. Summers also was fifth in the 110 hurdles, 20th in the 200 dash, and helped dthe 1,600 relay team place fifth at the NESCAC meet. Landon closed out his junior season at the ECAC Championships with a fifth-place finish in the 4x100 meter. Summers started the outdoor season at the Aztec Open by helping the 4x100 relay team to a victory and a ninth in the 200 dash. At the PLNU Invitational, Landon helped the 4x100 meter relay team to an eighth-place finish and a 21st-place finish in the 200 dash, along with a personal best with a time of 22.65. At the Colby Open, Landon raced to a victory in the 110 hurdles, a second-place finish with the 4x400 meter relay team, and a sixth and a personal-best time of 11.50 in the 100 dash. Summers finished the Maine State meet with third-place finishes in the 110 hurdles and the 4x400 meter relay. Landon was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.

2016 indoor season highlights: Summers finished fourth with the 4x400 relay team and second in the 60 hurdles to open the season at the Bates tri-meet. Landon finished first in the 60 dash and third in the 200 at the Bates Invitational. At the Wheaton Invitational, Summers helped the 4x400 team finish second and took a win in the 60 hurdles. Summers then took second in the 55 hurdles and fifth in the 200 dash at the Maine State Championships. Landon finished the season at the Open New England Championships, helping the 1,600 relay team set a Colby record (3:18.65) while placing eighth. He was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2015 outdoor season highlights: Summers opened his season at the Colby Invitational, finishing third in the 100 hurdles, sixth in the 200 dash, and helped the 4x100 relay team finish third. At the Maine State Championships, Summers finished fifth in the 110 hurdles and finished seventh in the same event at the NESCAC Championships.

2015 indoor season highlights: Summers opened his season by finishing third in the 4x400m relay and 11th in the 600 at the USM Invitational. He then took second in the 60 hurdles and sixth in both the 200 and 4x400 relay at the Bates Invitational. Summers then finished his season competing in the 60 hurdles, finishing fifth at the Maine State Championships, 17th at the New England Division III Championships, and 24th at the Open New England Championships.

2014 outdoor season highlights: Summers opened his season by finishing sixth in the 400 hurdles and fifth in the 110 hurdles at the Bates Invitational. Summers finished fourth in the 110 hurdles at the Maine State Championships, sixth in the 200 dash, and helped the 4x100 relay team take first.

2014 indoor season highlights: Summers took 12th in the 200 dash at the Bates Invitational to open his season. He then finished seventh in the 60 dash at the Bowdoin Invitational. At the Maine State Championships, Summers took ninth in the 200 dash and sixth in the 60 hurdles. Summers finished his season by taking 16th in the 60 hurdles at the New England Division III Championships.
