Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Griffin graduated from Bishop Guertin High School, where he ran with the cross country and track teams.

AT COLBY 

Griffin is a Spanish major and Managerial Economics minor at Colby. He tutors with the Spanish Department.

2017 outdoor season highlights: Griffin, who was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team, was second in the mile and eighth in the 3,000 meters at the Maine State meet. He also was 12th in the 1,500 meters at the NESCAC league meet. Griffin also ran in the 5,000 meters at the New England Division III Championships.

2017 indoor season highlights: Gagnon competed in the mile, 3,000 meters, and distance medley relay. He finished second in the mile at the Maine State Championships and eighth at the Open New England Championships. He was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2016 indoor track season highlights: Gagnon did not compete for the Mules in the winter season. He was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic team.

2015 cross country season highlights: Gagnon finished fourth at the Bates junior/senior race, eighth at the Maine State Championships, and 60th at the NESCAC Championships. To finish his junior season, Gagnon took 38th at the New England Division III Championships.

2015 outdoor track season highlights: Gagnon opened his season with a fifth-place finish in the 5,000 meters at the Point Loma Invitational. At the Jim Sheehan Memorial, Gagnon finished second in the 1,500 meters, then finished fourth in the 5,000 at the Colby Invitational. At the Maine State Championships, Gagnon finished third in the 1,500. Gagnon finished his sophomore season by helping the 4x800 team finish 11th at the Open New England Championships.

2015 indoor track season highlights: Gagnon opened the season by winning the 4x800 relay for the second year in a row and finishing second in the mile at the Bates Invitational. Gagnon then took fourth in the 4x800 relay and eighth in the mile at the Maine State Championships. Griffin finished his season at the New England Division III Championships, finishing 11th in the DMR.

2014 cross country season highlights: Gagnon opened his sophomore season by finishing 16th in the first-year/sophomore race at Bates. He then took 17th at the Middlebury Invitational, 53rd at the Williams Invitational, eighth at the Maine State Championships, and 56th at the NESCAC Championships. He was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

2014 indoor track season highlights: Gagnon opened the season at the Bates Invitational, finishing first in the 4x800 relay and fourth in the 1,000 meters. At the Maine State Championships, Gagnon took first with the 4x800 relay team and sixth in the mile. Griffin finished his season at the New England Division III Championships, taking fifth in the 4x800 relay and 11th in the mile.

2013 cross country season highlights: Gagnon opened the season by taking third at the first-year/sophomore race at Bates. He followed that finish with a 52nd-place finish at the University of Southern Maine Invitational, 46th at the Williams Invitational, 22nd at the Maine State Championship, and 53rd at the NESCAC Championships.
