Jared Beers

With the 2025-26 academic year, Jared Beers '01 is entering his 21st year at Colby.

A 2001 graduate of Colby and a member of the Track & Field team and the 2000 NESCAC Champion Football team, Beers has been named NESCAC Coach of the Year twice (2013 and 2014).  In 2014 he also claimed the honor as New England Coach of the Year.

The 2019 season saw Colby Cross Country earn three NCAA All-American titles (Sophia Gorman, Tyler Morris, Eli Decker) as the men's team finished 16th at NCAA Cross Country Championships.  That performance came on the tails of a 2nd place finish in the New England Championships propelling Colby to qualify a full team to Nationals.  Gorman repeated at the NESCAC Performer of the year, winning the conference championship in 2018 and 2019, and Morris joined David Chelimo as the two NESCAC Rookie of the Year performers during Beers' tenure.

Beers assists with the Track & Field team, coaching the middle distance and distance runners.
