Why I chose Colby: I chose Colby because it presented opportunities other universities did not. As a first-generation and low-income student, I chose a school that would help me financially while at the same time giving me a strong and valuable education.

What do you think about the new Athletic Center: The new athletic center is beautiful. It has facilities for all sports and specifically has a beautiful indoor track. I like the weight rooms, dance spaces, and rooms dedicated to cardio machines. Also, I like that all sports have offices located throughout the facility.

Favorite Place on Campus: I am a big fan of the observatory. It is very relaxing and gorgeous at all times of the day. The summer and fall bring out the very vibrant leaves and grass which I also appreciate.

Most Memorable Team Experience: The most memorable team experience in my opinion would be when Levy Biery broke down our team chant before wrapping up for the day. His intense energy was powerful not only in vocal ability but also in the meaning behind it. It showed me that we have worriers ready to work, not only in the upper classes but also in my class, the freshmen class.

Internship/Work Experience: I have worked at Stop & Shop in Wayland, MA, as well as in Boston Public Schools as a Substitute teacher.

Plans After Colby: I want to possibly go to business school or start working In my area of study after college. My goal is to make real money and help my family in the Dominican Republic as well as my family in Boston, MA.
