Biography
Why I chose Colby: "Small liberal arts school with a growing and respected computer science department. Additionally, it had a swim team with goals and culture that I liked. My sister also went to Colby (class of 2018) and she had told me great things and told me it would be a great fit for me."
Internship/Work Experience: "I have been a Software Engineering intern at Liberty Mutual Insurance for the past two summers. I have accepted a full time position there for next year."
Major: Computer Science & Studio Art
Favorite Place on Campus: Mary Low Coffee House
Most Memorable Team Experience: "NESCAC Championships in 2019 when we set a school record in nearly every event swam on the first day."
Plans After Colby: "Working full-time as a software engineer at Liberty Mutual Insurance."
2017-18 season highlights: Jones had two victories in the 100 butterfly, as well as a victory in the 200 medley relay during the season. He also had second place finishes in the 50 and 100 butterfly, 200 and 400 medley relay, and 400 freestyle relay.
2016-17 season highlights: Jones consistently finished in the top three in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke events during the season. He placed 18th in the 100 butterfly and 21st in the 50 butterfly at NESCAC championships, where he also set a school record with the 200 medley relay team.
