BEFORE COLBY
Sarah graduated from Nashoba Regional High School, where she was a member of the field hockey, indoor track, and softball teams. She was awarded the Richard Phelps Scholar-Athlete Award and Joanne Paquette Senior Academic All-star Award. Sarah was named to the NFHCA National Academic team.
AT COLBY
Sarah is majoring in Mathematics and minors in Education and Computer Science. She works in the Farnham Writers' Center and for Admissions. Sarah is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor, Hardy Girls muse, and vice president of the Women in Math and Computer Science club. In the summer of 2016, she worked as an operations intern at Primary Source. In the summer of 2017, she worked as an analyst intern at Maguire Associates. She also worked as a marketing intern at CA Veracode this past summer.
2018 season highlights: Gaffney played in 14 games in her final season with the Mules, making six starts. She finished with one assist and two defensive saves. She was named to the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2017 season highlights: Gaffney played in four games for the Mules this season.
2016 season highlights: Sarah played in 10 games for the Mules. She was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad and the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2015 season highlights: Gaffney played in five games for the Mules, finishing the year with two shots. Sarah was on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad.
