BEFORE COLBY
Kate graduated from Sacred Heart, where she played field hockey and lacrosse. She captained both teams her senior year, was a two-year lacrosse Academic All-American and All-League in both sports. Kate was a WNEPSSA All-Star for field hockey and received her school's sportsmanship award for lacrosse.
AT COLBY
Kate is majoring in Economics and Mathematics. She is also a Colby Cares About Kids mentor, a member of the JanPlan CHOICES steering committee, and a teaching assistant in the Economics department. Kate also plays lacrosse for the Mules.
2018 field hockey season highlights: Kate played in all 16 games in her final season with the Mules, making 11 starts. She finished with one assist.
2018 lacrosse season highlights: Burkett played in 14 games for the Mules, scoring three goals and tallying an assist. She also had 11 ground balls, nine caused turnovers, and a draw control.

2016 field hockey season highlights: Burkett started all 15 games for the Mules, finishing with one assist. She was on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad and the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2016 lacrosse season highlights: Kate played in four games for the Mules and made two starts, finishing the year with two goals, two assists, and two ground balls.
2015 field hockey season highlights: Burkett played in 14 games and had seven starts. She was on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad.
