BEFORE COLBY
Emily graduated from Dover Sherborn High School, where she was a member of the softball, cross country, and Nordic ski teams. She was a National Honor Society member and a recipient of the Chicago Book Award.
AT COLBY
Emily is double majoring in Chemistry and Spanish. She is a member of the Colby Ballroom Dance Club and a Colby Cares About Kids mentor. She also works as an organic chemistry research assistant, a Spanish tutor, and a general chemistry demo prepper. Over the summer, she interned at Sarepta Therapeutics.
2018 season highlights: Dougherty finished the year second on the team in defensive assists with 32. She also had two hits, two runs, and two RBI. Emily was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2017 season highlights: Emily, who was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team, scored five runs, had four hits, and did not have an error in 13 chances in the field.
2016 season highlights: Dougherty played in six games for the Mules in her first season and finished with one run and one stolen base.
