BEFORE COLBY

Dan graduated from Weston High School, where he was a member of the crew and swim teams. He was a DCL All-Star in swimming. Dan interned at Keryx Biopharmaceuticals.

AT COLBY

Dan is majoring in Economics and Mathematical Sciences with a Statistics concentration.

2017-2018 season highlights: Spellman sat in the one spot in the men's varsity 8 boat for the second straight year. Dan was a captain for the team. 

2016-2017 season highlights: Dan was in the first spot in the varsity 8 boat when the Mules took ninth at the New England Championships. He also helped the crew to a fourth-place finish in Georgia during the spring break trip and to wins against University of New Hampshire, University of Vermont, and Coast Guard Academy. 

2014-2015 season highlights: Spellman opened the year in the eighth position by taking second with the first varsity boat in both the Lowell Regatta and the Worcester Regatta. At the UNH Regatta, Spellman helped the first varsity boat finish second again from the eighth position. Dan finished the season by taking 10^th at the New England Rowing Championships and 14^th at the ECAC National Championships, both from the eighth position in the first varsity boat.
