Biography

Why I chose Colby: I chose Colby for the opportunity to be challenged both academically and athletically, while also gaining a liberal arts education. 

Internship/Work Experience: Research Assistant in the Angelini Lab in Biology at Colby

Favorite place on campus: Johnson Pond

Major/s: Environmental Science and Biology

Most memorable team experience: The Chummy Broomhall Cup race in Presque Isle, also yearly Thanksgiving camps in Quebec 

 

2020 season highlights: Miller skied to seven top 30 finishes in her junior season, including a career best 8th place in the Harvard 5km freestyle. She also earned First Team All-State honors by winning the Maine State Collegiate Championship and leading the Mules' to a women's team victory at the event. Miller finished the season as the league's first alternate for NCAA Championships qualification, and capped her season by winning the the 50km Rangeley Marathon.

2019 season highlightsMiller followed up a strong rookie campaign with seven more top-30 finishes, including 15th in the St. Lawrence 5km freestyle and a 17th place finish at the Middlebury 10km classic. Her four top-20 finishes helped her climb to 28th in the individual league rankings for the season. Miller also competed at the Junior National Championships, where she helped her relay team win the U20 Women's 3x5km relay.

2018 season highlights: Miller had seven top-30 finishes for her first season as a mule. She had her best finish at the St. Michael's Carnival where she placed 15th in the 10K. She also had her best showing at the Dartmouth Carnival, placing 22nd in the 5K and 23rd in the 5K.
