BEFORE COLBY
Paige graduated from Albemarle High School, where she captained the volleyball team. She was a member of the all-conference and all-district teams, and was selected to play in the VHSCA all-star game. Academically, Paige was a member of the National Honor Society and the English Honor Society.
AT COLBY
Paige is majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Managerial Economics. She is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor and an officer of Colby Dancers. Over the summer, she has interned for TwinThread and Colby Admissions Alumni Relations. Paige's father, Pat Hanssen, played tennis for the Mules.
2018 season highlights: In her final season, Hanssen led the NESCAC in total kills (302) and kills per set (3.97). She also finished first on the team in service aces (35) and total blocks (42). Paige also had 19 assists and 1.91 digs per set. Hanssen finished her stellar career with 976 kills, 762 defensive digs, 165 service aces, and 132 blocks. Hanssen was named to the NESCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team.
2017 season highlights: Paige had a big season, leading the NESCAC in kills per set (3.83) and finishing second in service aces per set (0.59). She had 287 kills, 225 digs, 44 aces, and 32 blocks.
2016 season highlights: Hanssen played in every match for the Mules, leading the team in kills (270) and service aces (38). She was also fourth in the NESCAC for kills. Hanssen also recorded 17 assists, 241 digs, and 31 blocks.
2015 season highlights: Hanssen, in her first-year with the Mules, finished the season playing in every match. She led the Mules in service aces (49), was fourth in the NESCAC in service aces per set (0.51), fifth on the team in defensive digs (141), and fourth on the team in kills (117).
