Dobson Cooper

Dobson Cooper joined the Colby College Men's Lacrosse coaching staff ahead of the 2024 spring season.

Coach Cooper grew up in Westport, Connecticut and attended Staples High School playing under Head Coach Paul McNulty. At Staples, Cooper was a four-time varsity letter holder and two-time All-FCIAC East nominated player, helping the Wreckers into the State and League tournament. Cooper received awards in 2018 for overall preparedness and as the most valuable player.

After high school, Coach Cooper attended the University of Vermont where he played under Jake Bernhardt taking faceoffs and as a short-stick defensive midfielder. During his time, Cooper helped the Catamounts win back to back conference championships (2021, 2022) along with two undefeated in-conference seasons (2022, 2023). Cooper graduated from the University of Vermont in 2022 with a degree in Community Development and Applied Economics. Cooper used his fifth and final year of eligibility at UVM in 2023 while obtaining a graduate certificate in Sustainable Enterprise.

Cooper comes from Southern New Hampshire University where he worked as an Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the 2023 fall term.

"I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the Mules Lacrosse family. Colby's commitment to both academic and athletic success is unparalleled, and I could not be more excited to share this journey with the student-athletes and coaching staff. I'd like to thank Jake Bernhardt for allowing me to be a part of this program, and I am confident that with continued support and togetherness this program will reach new heights."
