Mario graduated from Westminster, where he played soccer, hockey, and tennis.

AT COLBY

Mario is majoring in Economics with a Financial Markets concentration. He is a member of Northern Capital. On campus, Mario works on the custodial staff.

2017-2018 season highlights: Mario was fourth on the Mules in goals (10) and added four assists for 14 points. He played in 95 games for Colby and finished with 26 goals and 22 assists for 48 points. Mario had six of his 10 goals in conference games.

2016-17 season highlights: Benicky played in 19 games for the Mules, finishing with five goals and two assists. 

2015-16 season highlights: Benicky played in 23 games for the Mules and finished the season with three goals and five assists.

2014-15 season highlights: Benicky finished his first season with eight goals and 11 assists to lead all Colby first-years and was third on the team overall. Mario finished the season with four power play goals.
