Jack graduated from St. Paul’s, where he was a member of the crew, hockey, and lacrosse teams. He has interned at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, Loeb Partners, and Techstars.
AT COLBY
Jack is majoring in Biology with a Neuroscience concentration and has a minor in Managerial Economics. He is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor and a leader of Students for Education Reform.
2016-17 season highlights: Burton earned All-New England honors and was on the All-NESCAC First Team as a defenseman. Jack also signed an amateur contact with the Indy Fuel of the ECHL. Burton earned the team's Millett Award as Most Valuable Player, was the Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season, and was co-winner of the Todd McGovern Teammate of the Year Award. He played in 23 games for the Mules, finishing the season ranked second on the team in points and assists with six goals and 16 assists, including five power play goals. The top scoring defenseman in the NESCAC, he also ranked 10th in assists, ninth in power play points, and fifth in power play goals in the conference. Burton finished his career with 52 points on 18 goals and 34 assists.
2015-16 season highlights: Burton played in 24 games for the Mules, scoring seven goals and adding 10 assists. Burton was second in conference scoring among defensemen, eighth in power play points (7), and added two game-winning goals. Jack earned the team's Defensive Player of the Year Award, the Todd McGovern Teammate of the Year Award, and the Horseshoe Award.
2014-15 season highlights: Burton, who plays on defense, shared the team's Todd McGovern Teammate of the Year Award. He finished the season with 23 games played, along with two goals and four assists for six points. Jack was on the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.
2013-14 season highlights: Jack played in 15 games in his first year and contributed three goals and four assists for seven points. He had one game-winning goal.
