Blaise MacDonald

Blaise MacDonald, the 2017-18 American Hockey Coaches Association National Coach of the Year for men's hockey, returns as head golf coach for the 2025-26 season.  MacDonald has been involved with the Golf program since his arrival to Mayflower Hill in 2012.

MacDonald led the men's hockey team to a New England Small College Athletic Conference title and the NCAA Division III Frozen Four in the 2017-18 season.

As a player, MacDonald was an All-American defenseman and was inducted into the RIT Hall of Fame in 1991. At the time of his graduation, he held RIT records for career assists (106) and points (119) by a defenseman. Prior to being named The Jack Kelley Head Coach for Men's Hockey, MacDonald was an assistant coach at Dartmouth (1986–87), Princeton (1987–88), UMass Lowell (1988–90) and Boston University (1991–96), and a head coach at Niagara (1996–2001), where he compiled an all-time record of 91–58–17 and UMass Lowell (2001–11) with an overall record of 150–178–44.

MacDonald and his wife, Carol, are the parents of four children – sons Cam, Joe, and Jacob, and daughter Carly. Cam and Joe are alumni of Colby, who played four years of hockey for his father.
