Biography

Why I chose Colby: I chose Colby because of its academic and athletic reputation. The ability to compete at a high level in the NESCAC conference while also receiving a world-class education was a no-brainer.

Major: Economics & Education

What do you think about the new Athletic Center: The new athletic center provides us with a world-class training facility that is well-equipped to help Colby's athletes compete at the highest level.

Favorite Place on Campus: The gym or the spa

Most Memorable Team Experience: The entire 2019-2020 season for me was my most memorable experience. Becoming nationally ranked and playing at such a high level throughout that entire year with my teammates was something I'll never forget.

Internship/Work Experience: My internship experience has been centered around coaching and skill development with basketball players in my hometown. I've been fortunate enough to work with my high school coach and set up and summer training program and an AAU team that works with the local youth in the Castleton/Rutland area.

Plans After Colby: After Colby, my plan is to explore the option of continuing my playing career or hopefully going to graduate school while trying to become a graduate assistant collegiate basketball coach.

2019-20 season highlights: Tyson started all 28 games for the Mules. He led the team in minutes (32.1) and rebounds (8.6) per game. While finishing fourth on the team for points per game (12.9). Noah ranked fifth in the NESCAC for rebounds and fourth for minutes per game.

2018-19 season highlights: Tyson was named NESCAC Rookie of the Year and earned All-Rookie and All-Defensive Team honors in his first season with the Mules. He started all 25 games, averaging the second most minutes on the team with 31.7. A five-time Maine Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, Noah finished first on the team in average rebounds (8.2) and tied for first in total steals (26). He was also third on the team in average assists with 2.6 and fourth in average points with 10.9.
