Ryan Jenei

Ryan Jenei joined the Colby Men's Basketball program as an Assistant Coach ahead of the 2025-26 academic year. Jenei brings seven years of experience at the Division III level, both as a player and a coach. His responsibilities with the team include assisting with on-court instruction, recruiting, scouting, player development, and various operations. 

Prior to Colby, Jenei served as an Assistant Coach for Oglethorpe University from 2023-25. His responsibilities with the team included assisting with player development, on-court instruction, scouting, recruiting, social media, and strength & conditioning. Jenei started at Oglethorpe in 2018 and enjoyed a playing career that spanned five seasons. He scored 856 career points with 443 career rebounds while adding 143 assists and 74 steals. He also finished 9th all time in 3-pointers made. Jenei played in 119 games over the course of his career, and he earned Southern Athletic Association distinction as an academic all-conference honoree all five years.

In the off-seasons, Jenei served as a coach and the Assistant GM for Redline Basketball Club UA Rise starting in 2023. He helped grow the program from eight to 16 teams ranging from 4th-11th grade. His roles with the program included on-court instruction, in-game coaching, player recruitment, player development, college placement, social media, and overall program organization. Jenei also coached with the Atlanta Timberwolves AAU program for two seasons and worked operations with HoopSeen for two summers. 

Jenei earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Oglethorpe in 2022. He also holds a business analytics certificate.
