Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Keith graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, where he was a member of the cross country and track teams. Keith was the National Honor Society Vice President and was captain of his cross country and track teams in his final two seasons.

AT COLBY 

Keith is an Economics-Mathematics and Math Sciences double major at Colby.

2017 cross country season highlights: Keith, who was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team, won the 3-kilometer race at the Colby Invitational at Quarry Road Trails. He also competed in the junior/senior race against Bates.

2016 cross country season highlights: Barnatchez finished 16th at the Bates junior/senior race and competed in the Colby Invitational. He was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

2016 outdoor season highlights: Barnatchez raced in three 800 meter races, a 4x400 meter race, and a 4x800 meter race during his sophomore season. He finished in second place in the 800 meters and 4x400 meters at the Colby Open. At the Maine State Championships, he finished in ninth place in the 800 meters. To close out the year at the NESCAC Championships, Barnatchez finished in ninth place in 4x800 meter and in 22nd place in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.14 for his college best. Keith also earned NESCAC Spring All-Academic honors.

2016 indoor season highlights: Barnatchez finished fourth in the 1,000 meters at the USM Open, fifth with the 4x400 relay team at the Bates Tri-Meet, and fourth in the 800 meters at the Wheaton Invitational to open the season. At the Maine State Championships, Keith finished third with the 4x800 relay team and seventh in the 800 meters. Finishing the season with the 4x800 relay team, Barnatchez finished 15th at the New England Division III Championships, and 16th at the Open New England Championships. He was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2015 cross country season highlights: Barnatchez competed in the Bowdoin Invitational (58th) and the Bates first-year/sophomore race (24th). Keith was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

2015 outdoor season highlights: Barnatchez raced in three 800 meter races during his first season. He finished in 12th place in the Jim Sheehan Memorial, the Colby Invitational, and the Maine State Championships.

2015 indoor season highlights: Barnatchez opened the season at the USM Invitational by taking second in the 4x400 relay and fifth in the 600. He then took fourth in both the 4x400 relay and the 400 at the Bates Invitational. At the Maine State Championships, Barnatchez took fourth in the 4x800 relay and eighth in the 600. He finished his season at the New England Division III Championships by taking sixth with the 4x800 relay team and 11th in the DMR.

2014 cross country season highlights: Barnatchez finished 25th for the Mules in the first-year/sophomore race at Bates and 14th in the Colby Invitational.
