Biography

Why I chose Colby: "The warm, welcoming community." 

Internship/Work Experience: Marketing analyst intern; Inntopia (Travel Technology Systems); Mt. Mansfield Ski Club Coach; Rugged Adventures Counsellor

Favorite Place on Campus: Upper Arboretum

Most Memorable Team Experience: "One of my teammates winning the second run of US Nationals my freshman year."

Major: Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience 

2020 Season highlights: Sandy added in another great season to finish her college ski racing career. She finished in the top 10 at six carnival races with 6th being her best at the Williams giant slalom, and qualified for NCAA D1 National Champoionships again this year. Sandy competed in the giant slalom at the NCAA Championships at Bridger Bowl, MT placing 11th. Just 9 hundreths from earning All-American.    

2019 season highlights: Schoepke had a stellar year and qualified for the NCAA Division I Championships, finishing 13th in slalom and 15th in GS.  During the EISA Carnival season, she had nine top-15 finishes with six inside the top-10.  Her best results came in the Middlebury slalom (4th) and the Dartmouth slalom (5th). 

2018 season highlights: Sandy finished top-30 in every carnival this season. She had her best finishes in the UVM Carnival and the Dartmouth Carnival, where she placed 12th in both GS, and placed 13th in the UVM slalom. She also finished at 17th in the Regional Championships slalom.

2017 season highlights: Schoepke had six top-20 finishes in slalom and two in GS. Her best finishes were 10th place in slalom and ninth in GS, both at the UVM Carnival. Sandy also competed at the U.S. Alpine Championships, finishing 17th in the giant slalom and 28th in the slalom.
