Most Memorable Team Experience: "At one of our first workouts, as a freshman, I remember looking around at my new teammates and feeling as though I had never been surrounded by so many like-minded, driven and passionate individuals. That feeling has never left me and continues to push me today."
Plans after Colby: "After Colby, I want to pursue human physiology and exercise science while continuing to compete in alpine skiing."
What Do You Think of the New Athletic Center?: "Mind blowing."
2020 Season highlights: Derwin earned his best season to date during 2020. Starting off the early season with 3 top 10 finishes preparing him for his most successful collegiate season to date. Colbey finished the 2020 season placing in the top 30 at every carnival with 3 top 15 finishes and a career best 8th in SL at the regional championships at the Middlebury Carnival securing qualification to NCAA D1 Championships. Colbey competed at NCAA Champs at Bridger Bowl, MT finishing 23rd in the giant slalom.
2019 season highlights: Colbey scored nine top-30 finishes across the EISA circuit, with top results of 15th in the Bates Slalom and 17th in the UVM Giant Slalom.
2018 season highlights: Derwin finished off a strong first season as a mule with a top finish of 12th is the slalom at the St. Michael's Carnival. He also placed 14th in the slalom at the Dartmouth Carnival and 19th at the Colby Carnival.
