Max Godomsky

Max Godomsky joined the Colby Alpine Skiing coaching staff as an Assistant Coach ahead of the 2025-26 academic year, bringing a strong foundation in ski racing and multi-sport coaching.

Born in Waterville, Godomsky was raised in the heart of Colby Athletics. His father served as the Head Alpine Ski Coach and played a pivotal role in elevating the program to NCAA Division I status, while his mother led the field hockey and women’s lacrosse programs. Godomsky began his own racing journey in Maine before moving to Colorado, where he competed at the FIS level for the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club.

Prior to Colby, Godomsky served as an Athletics Fellow at Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine, coaching U14 Alpine Skiing and Boys’ Lacrosse while supporting student-athlete development across campus. During his time at Gould, he guided two U14 athletes to qualify for Can-Ams (the North American U14 Championships), demonstrating his ability to develop young racers at a high level. Before Gould, Godomsky led the boys’ JV lacrosse team at Aspen High School, where he discovered his passion for coaching while working closely with student-athletes.

Godomsky is a graduate of Wheaton College (MA), where he earned a B.S. in Business Management and played as a short-stick defensive midfielder (SSDM) on the men’s lacrosse team in the NEWMAC Conference. He brings a strong, focused presence to the hill and is passionate about helping athletes grow both on and off the snow.

"I’m super excited to be a Mule again. Coming back to Mayflower Hill, where I have so many connections and roots that still show up today, feels like a full-circle moment for me. I’m really looking forward to working with the athletes and reconnecting with this deep-rooted community."
