The Colby Volleyball program was started in 1991 under Athletic Director Dick Whitmore. The team is part of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), one of the most competitive Division III conferences in the nation. Colby Volleyball competes in the
Margaret M. Crook Center on the Whitmore-Mitchell Court inside of the Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center. Overlooking the Whitmore-Mitchell Court, the Hancock Room serves as a meeting space for teams to review film, hold study hall and host game-day events.
Led by the 2024 Regional and NESCAC Coach of the Year Lindsay Johnson, Colby Volleyball had a historic 2024 season, its most successful season since being crowned NESCAC Champions in 2005. The team secured 25 wins and finished the regular season undefeated (10-0) in conference play earning them an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament. The program has totaled five All-Americans in its history, with three of those coming from the 2024 season alone, and 22 All-Conference awards including four from last year.
