Men's Soccer Program Overview

The Colby Men's Soccer program was added in 1959 by Department Chair, Mike Loebs which the first soccer field at Colby was named after. The team competesĀ in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), one of the most competitive Division III conferences in the nation. Men's and Women's SoccerĀ currentlyĀ play onĀ theĀ Mark R. Serdjenian FieldĀ which openedĀ in 2017.Ā The game field is complete with stadium seating and natural berms for additional game-viewing locations. The full-sized field with real grass allows for the ideal game conditions.Ā

Colby Men's Soccer is led by Head Coach Sean Elvert who is in his first year with the Mules. He will be looking to get theĀ team back into theĀ NESCAC Championship which Colby won in 2018. The program has totaled six All-American awards, including three-time All-American Mark Burke ā€˜86, and 21 All-Conference awards in its history. The most recent All-NESCACĀ selections include Eduardo Casanova in 2023, Mario Simoes in 2024 and NESCAC Rookie of the Year Ethan Franco in 2021.Ā
