Led by Head Coach Karen Henning since 2008, Colby Women's Lacrosse has a successful history while qualifying for the NESCAC Playoffs every year since 2001 and winning the Conference Championship in 2008, 2009, and 2017. The team has not gone a season without having at least one player honored with an All-Conference award since 2001. In 15 of the last 19 years, the Mules havecompeted in the NCAA Championships and in the last twenty-five years, only two seasons have passed without having an All-Americans honored. From 2022-2024, the Colby Women's Lacrosse team made it to the NCAA Quarterfinals each season.
Mostly recently in 2025, the Mules made their first ever NCAA Division III Final Four appearance while finishing the year with a dominant 17-4 overall record ranked third in the IWLCA DIII national ranking.Â
Overall, the team has been honored with 62 All-American awards since the year 2000 including 13 over the last four seasons. This includes three-time All-American Julia Jardina '25 and the 2025 IWLCA National Defender of the Year Kat Munter '25, a two-time All-American.
