Waterville, ME - The Colby College Mules (5-2) split a Saturday doubleheader with the Brandeis University Judges (7-2) at Coombs Field. Colby rallied late to take the opener 2-1 before Brandeis answered with a 6-3 win in game two.

Game One Mule Moments:

• Brandeis struck first in the third inning when Ben Kuja drove in Noah Koong with an RBI single.
• Colby tied the game in the fifth when Patrick Shrake singled, stole second, and later scored on a Brandeis fielding error.
• Thomas Rioux delivered a strong start on the mound, throwing 6.1 innings and striking out eight while allowing just one run.
• Sam Lowenstein came out of the bullpen to record the final two outs and earn the win.
• Henry Silva sparked the game-winning rally in the seventh inning with a single to center.
• Will Burns delivered the decisive hit, lining an RBI double to left field to score Silva and give Colby the 2-1 walk-off victory.

Game Two Mule Moments:

• Brandeis jumped out early, scoring in the first inning on an RBI groundout from Danny Tambascia.
• The Judges added another run in the second before Colby answered in the bottom half of the inning with RBI plays from Corey Aubuchon and Will Burns to tie the game.
• Brandeis regained the lead in the third inning, capitalizing on a Colby error and an RBI groundout from Tambascia.
• Patrick Shrake cut the deficit to one in the fourth inning when he doubled, stole third, and scored on a sacrifice fly from Aubuchon.
• The Judges extended their lead with runs in the fifth and sixth innings, including a run-scoring single from Tambascia.
• Brandeis pitching held Colby to just five hits in the game, with Jackson Herzog earning the win in relief and Jack Sweeney closing out the game for the save.

The Mules will return to action on Sunday as they continue their early-season schedule at Coombs Field.
