Waterville, ME - The Mules powered past the Bobcats 8–1 in a Senior Day NESCAC battle, securing half of the Maine Championship.
Colby jumped out to an early lead as senior Oliver Riordan '26 and junior Avery Rosenberg '27 earned straight-game victories in matches that wrapped up in under twenty minutes. Momentum continued through the middle of the lineup, with Omar Bastawy '29 and Timo Radionov '28 each recording decisive 3–0 wins.
Seniors Youssef Mostafa '26 and Sebastian Campos '26 followed with commanding straight-game victories, closing out their final home matches in triumphant fashion. Near the top of the lineup, Hamza Wessam '29 and Carlos Zendejas '26 showed resilience, each responding after dropping an early game to secure 3–1 victories.
At the top of the ladder, Seif Ashraf '27 battled through a grueling, nearly hour-long match against a tough opponent. The contest featured several tightly contested games, with Ashraf and his opponent trading points and games before the match was decided in the fifth.
Colby continues Maine Championship Weekend tomorrow, traveling to Bowdoin with a chance to repeat as CBB champions.
