Waterville, Maine - The Colby Men's Basketball team closed out senior day in style, erupting for 54 second-half points to take down Middlebury, 83–71, on Saturday afternoon. The win lifts the Mules to 16–6 overall and an even 4–4 in NESCAC play.
After recognizing its senior class pregame — including

Johnny Kinsley — Colby delivered a performance worthy of the occasion. The Panthers led by as many as ten in the first half and took a 36–29 advantage into halftime, but the Mules exploded out of the break with one of their best offensive halves of the season.
Max Poulton set the tone with a team-high 22 points, knocking down three threes and finishing 8-for-15 from the field, while also grabbing six rebounds.
Dan Civello continued his strong weekend form, adding 21 points, eight boards and three blocks, going a perfect 9-for-9 at the line.
Theo Pow had a double digit performance as well with 11 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
Colby's second-half efficiency proved the difference, shooting 42% from the field, 37% from deep, and an impressive 25-29 at the free-throw line. Defensively, the Mules forced 14 turnovers and converted them into 21 points while holding Middlebury to 35.5% shooting after halftime.
The Mules now turn their attention to the final stretch of conference play and the regular season facing Trinity Friday and Wesleyan Saturday on the road.
