Lyme, N.H. - The Colby Alpine Ski team entered the third leg of the EISA Carnival circuit Friday for the Giant Slalom at the Dartmouth Skiway, a hill that served as home to the NCAA Championship event a year ago. The Mules two top-30 finishes on each side led the women's team to a fifth place finish, while the men's team landed in eighth out of the 13 competing institutions.

On the women's side, sophomore
Althea Noyes (photo left) kicked out of the gate wearing the EISA Giant Slalom leader bib after her two podium results to start the season. While hardware was out of her reach this time, she still had a stellar result placing seventh.
Kate McKenney was next for Colby in 18th place, and
Carissa Cassidy was the third scorer for the Mules in 32nd. Kjersti Mortiz of Middlebury, back for the Panthers after missing the first two weekends while racing for the US on the World Cup, collected the win.
Brady Malboeuf continued his hot start to the year with another top-20 result for the men's team, racing into 16th. Last year's All-American
Harrison Digangi (headline photo) also brought a spark. Returning from injury, the junior held his own in a stacked field, cruising into 27th.
Townsend Mikell was Colby's third scorer in 41st place. The race was won by UVM's Oskar Gillberg.
Colby will return to the slopes in Lyme for Saturday's Slalom.
