Wilmington, N.Y. - Carissa Cassidy followed up her Slalom victory from a week ago by landing on the third step of the podium in Friday's race at Whiteface, closing the St. Lawrence Carnival with more hardware.  Two other Colby women finished in the top-30 to guide the Mules to a 5th place finish.  Brady Maboeuf was the first of three skiers in the top-30 for the men's squad, producing a 7th place finish. 

Skiing with the event leader bib, Cassidy's (photo left) first run had her in line for another podium finish less than half a second off the pace.  She recovered after slight struggles on the second run to hold on to bronze medal positioning. Althea Noyes made a jump from bib 52 to earn her first top-30 Slalom finish of the year in 28th, and Kate McKenney continued her stellar debut season collecting her fourth top-30 result in as many tries.  McKenney cruised in right behind Noyes in 29th. 

Fresh off a remarkable 7th place finish in the Colby Carnival Slalom a week ago, Malboeuf pieced together two solid runs to finish in 20th place for the men's team.  He was joined by Townsend Mikell (headline photo) in 24th and Espen Hunt in 29th to close out Colby's scoring. 

The Mules will be back in action next weekend at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, N.H. for the Dartmouth Carnival.
