Williamstown, Mass. - In a series of highly competitive and closely contested matches, the Colby Men's Squash team fell 9–0 to a strong Williams squad on Saturday.
Up and down the lineup, the Mules battled relentlessly, with several matches extending to five games. Seif Ashraf '27 competed in a grueling 90-minute battle before ultimately coming up short against a tough opponent. Hamza Wessam '29, Omar Bastawy '29, and Timo Radionov '28 each pushed their opponents in five game matches lasting over an hour, with multiple games decided by narrow margins, including 12–10 (Radionov) and 11–9 scores from both Wessam and Bastawy.
Youssef Mostafa '26 also delivered a strong performance, fighting through a four-game match that lasted over 75 minutes. Mostafa battled point for point throughout, highlighted by an impressive 17–15 game.
Despite the final score, Colby showed resilience and competitiveness throughout the lineup, proving why the Mules belong among the top teams in the NESCAC.
The Colby Men's Squash Team will continue their road trip on Sunday as they take on Middlebury.
