Waterville, Maine - The Colby Men's Basketball team welcomed the 13th ranked Tufts Jumbos to Mayflower Hill Saturday afternoon for their second NESCAC matchup of the 2025-26 season. The Mules came up short in the contest with a 88-66 final score resulting in their third loss of the season (10-3 overall record, 1-1 in conference play).Â
Colby opened strong and briefly led by five in the opening minutes, but Tufts caught fire from the perimeter and never cooled off, shooting 61.9% from three (13–21) on the day. The Mules stayed within striking distance early but trailed 45–36 at halftime before the Jumbos pushed the margin out in the second half.
Dan Civello continues to lead Colby in scoring with 15 points in the contest while adding four assists and three blocks.
Savion Stroud had a great all around game with 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Max Poulton added eight points, five boards, and four assists.
Mason Dobie and
Sam Hinman both provided a spark off the bench with eight points apiece and
Mitch Humphrey chipped in six on two first-half triples.
The Mules knocked down 12 threes but Tufts' combination of shot-making and rebounding (44–37 edge) kept Colby from mounting a second-half run.
Colby Men's Basketball returns to action Tuesday as NESCAC play continues against Bowdoin.Â
