Jake Cohen earned multiple NESCAC awards.
Jake Cohen, adding on to his 2024 second team singles selection, was named to the All-Conference first team singles. He posted a 12-9 overall record while playing in the one spot for the Mules this season while going 8-6 in dual matches. On top of this, the Little Silver, N.J. native is this years recipient of the Clarence Chaffee Sportsmanship Award which is given annually to the individual who has displayed a high standard of tennis coupled with the highest levels of sportsmanship. Cohen is the third Mule to be selected for the honor (Bryan Brown, 2009 & Owen Patrick, 2001).
Joining Cohen on the list of NESCAC awards is his doubles teammate
Jason Daly. Daly, the 2025 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, earned a spot on the All-Conference second team singles following a stellar first collegiate season. He went 14-5 overall while playing in the two singles spot for the Mules this season including an impressive 13-3 dual match record. Daly is the second Colby player to garner NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors (Carl Reid, 2014).
The pairing of Cohen and Daly also earned All-NESCAC second team doubles honors. While playing in the doubles one spot for Colby, the teammates recorded a 9-3 overall record.
Although Cohen will be graduating this spring, be on the lookout for Daly and the rest of Colby Men's Tennis this fall.
