Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field teams are ready to compete in the 2025 NESCAC Championships hosted by Wesleyan this Saturday, April 26th. The Cardinals are hosting the event for the first time since 2011. All events will be contested on Saturday with a 9:00am start time.
Heading into the competition, the Mules own ten top-three event results in the NESCAC and will look to defend multiple first place performances from last years conference championship. In the 100m,
Ian Irwin holds the fastest time (10.61) on the men's side of competition while
Simone Waheed has the second fastest time for the women (11.87). Waheed also holds the second fastest 200m time with a 24.81.
Fiona Mejico has two top-three individual marks as well including the fastest 400m hurdles time (59.79), which she won in 2024, and the second fastest 400m time (55.83). On the men's side,
Levi Biery holds the top 400m hurdles result with a 52.19. The final individual top-three result for the Mules is held by
Ernest Obiorah with the third furthest discuss throw of 45.49m.
In relays, the 2024 defending NESCAC women's champion 4x100 team has the fastest time in the conference with a 46.79. Both the Colby men's (3:14.24) and women's (3:44.14) 4x400 relay team hold the top spots in the conference. At the indoor championships this winter the women's 4x400 relay team was crowned national champions for division III.
